Coldwell Banker Real Estate welcomes Steve Bade as a new sales agent. Steve retired this spring from the Department of Natural resources after 33 years of service. He started his career in Fire Control at the Washburn Ranger Station as an equipment operator and forestry assistant. He moved on to serve as Superintendent / Manager of Big Bay State Park on Madeline Island for over 15 years, served as the Lake Superior Basin Lands Sub-team Leader where he was responsible for Big Bay State Park, Copper Falls State Park, the Pattison and Amnicon State Park work unit and the Brule River State Forest in addition to numerous other State properties. For the last ten years Steve has been working for the department as the Lake Superior Basin Real Estate Specialist at the Ashland DNR Service Center where he has been responsible for the acquisition program and assisting with the land management activities in Ashland, Bayfield, Douglas, Sawyer and Iron Counties. Steve said “working with the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources land acquisition program has been really rewarding. I’ve been able to help protect significant key parcels of property that will remain open to the public for their use forever. I’ve worked with some terrific folks and helped to protect some beautiful properties. It’s a really good feeling.”
